The Story Behind The Collection

The Story Behind Collection

UNIQLO's signature high-performance fabrics are fully utilized to ensure comfort during exercise and casual situations in hot environments. These include "DRY-EX," which dries ultra-fast; "Ultra Stretch," which stretches freely in both horizontal and vertical directions; "AIRism," which has both a comfortable feel and a quick-drying function; and "UV Protection," which blocks up to 90% of ultraviolet rays.

The Story Behind Collection

UNIQLO has incorporated athletes’ feedback in every detail of the design and functionalities by effectively applying mesh fabric cutouts and ventilation along areas of the body that are prone to sweating, releasing heat and further enhancing comfort. In addition, the silhouette fits moderately without interfering with movement, the stand-up collar beautifully accentuates the neck, and the pant hems are bonded together without sewing.

The Story Behind Collection

In a weather simulation laboratory set up at UNIQLO's Ariake headquarters, we analyzed data such as heat indexes and conducted monitoring tests in an environment that reproduced summer weather conditions. By collecting data on the location and amount of perspiration during exercise and athletes' voices on how sticky they feel due to sweat, we have created high-quality clothing that top athletes approve of.
