UNIQLO dress shirts come in three collar types: regular, semi-wide, and button-down. Each collar type has been carefully designed down to minute details like the cuff size, pocket shape, and front placket. The body and armholes have been designed to prevent the fabric from bulging when the jacket is worn, and the breast pocket has just enough room for your ID or credit card. The buttons are staggered and stitched only on one side, making it easy to open and close even with one hand.

A good shirt starts with good cotton.
The process of making cotton garments is not simple, and involves untangling cotton flowers to create material. Extra-long staple cotton, with thick fiber lengths of 35 mm or more, is high-quality cotton that is very smooth, soft and rare. At UNIQLO's factory, impurities are carefully removed from the block-shaped bales of extra-long staple cotton. The fibers are then twisted many times to gradually align in their direction, resulting in beautifully spun yarn.
Creating an easy-care shirt takes time and effort.
The process of making Super Non-Iron Shirts begins with sewing a tape-like resin into the seams to prevent wrinkles after washing. Once all the components are assembled, a crucial step called "DIP processing" follows, where the entire shirt is sprayed with a special solution that enables it to be iron-free. Next, the shirt undergoes high-pressure pressing to enhance its shape stability, followed by a "baking process" to ensure complete adherence of the chemicals. Finally, skilled professionals perform hand ironing for a flawless finish.

UNIQLO's Super Non-Iron Shirts are now available in jersey fabric. By alternately knitting them with cotton and polyester selected to have the optimum count, we've made them easy to care for, given them a high-quality feel, and also made them overwhelmingly easy to move around in. Following repeated proofs of concept, we opted to sew a tape-like resin into the sewn parts that wrinkle easily, enabling the shirt to keep its smart appearance with no ironing* even after being washed. A garment that'll nicely fit both your body and the times you're living in today.
