This is the beginning of a new story of giant Japanese Kaiju that began in tokusatsu movies. A new era of animation set in the Kaiju superpower of Japan, Kaiju No. 8 and UT collaborate to bring the world the story of a new generation of Kaiju.
01 Kaiju No. 8 / Kafka Hibino
This limited edition artwork was created for UT by the animation studio Production I.G and depicts the scene where the main character, Kafka, transforms into Kaiju No. 8 for the first time. The numbers below the graphic represent the "Fortitude" of the Kaiju's strength and the Kaiju's identification number.
02 JAKDF THIRD DIVISION
The front has an embroidered logo of Kaiju No. 8, and the back has the letters "JAKDF,''which stands for "Japan Anti Kaiju Defense Force,'' an organization specializing in defeating Kaiju in Japan. The back print features the members of the JAKDF's third Division, to which the main character Kafka Hibino belongs.
03 MONSTER SWEEPER
The limited-edition art was created by the animation studio Production I.G for UT. The front design depicts the main character, Kafka Hibino, who works as a crew member for Monster Sweeper, a professional Kaiju Cleaning Company, and his partner, Reno Ichikawa, chatting in front of a company car.丁he back print features the Monster Sweeper logo.
04 Mina Ashiro / Kafka Hibino
The limited-edition art was created by the animation studio Production I.G for UT. The design depicts a scene from Kafka日ibino's childhood, when he and his childhood friend Mina Ashiro decide to protect Japan from Kaiju, and together they draw the logo of the Japan Anti-Kaiju Defense Force.
05 Soshiro Hoshina
Soshiro Hoshina is the vice-captain of the Third Division of the Japan Anti-Kaiju Defense Force. This UT-exclusive design by animation studio Production I.G depicts his unique fighting style with two swords as weapons.
06 Kaiju No. 8
The front design mixes the striking number "8" in the Kaiju No. 8 logo with key visuals from the anime. The back side features a one-pointed design of the Kaiju No. 8 logo
What is Kaiju No.8 ?
The long-awaited serialized anime adaptation "Kaiju by No. 8 is a manga by Naoya Matsumoto serialized in “MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA”. As of April 2024, the 12th volume of the comic has been published, with a total domestic circulation of over 13 million copies (including digital editions). It was ranked No.1 in the “Annual Sales Ranking of Comics Volume I in 2020” and No.1 in the Web Manga Division of “Next Comic Award 2021,” and has been highly acclaimed as one of the signature manga of “MANGA Plus” and attracts many fans. The anime began streaming in April 2024, with real-time availability across the world on X (former Twitter), making it available for viewing in many businesses overseas as well.
