The world's finest 1% quality, for everyday wear.
Supima® Cotton, with a fibre length of more than 35mm, is an extremely rare, long-lasting cotton that accounts for less than 1% of the world's cotton production. In order to maximise the quality of this material, we use a special spinning method to minimise the wool. This is a more time-consuming process than usual, but it produces a soft and smooth texture.
Colours only Supima can produce.
Supima® Cotton is also appealing for its sheen and elegant colours. Since the long fibres produce little fuzz of their own, the material expresses neutral colours without looking drab. The new Uniqlo U Supima cotton crew neck T-shirt takes advantage of this by featuring a subtle colour palette of tones like rose ash and citrus yellow inspired by plant dyes. In addition, we've made the standard black darker and more lustrous.
Quality materials, first-class design.
These new womens products are the result of a series of testing with UNIQLO artistic director Christophe Lemaire. We focused on a U-shaped neckline that opens slightly wider for a beautiful décolleté. A delicate double-stitched binder there with small ribbing adds elegance. By making the yarn a little thicker than usual, the fabric is tauter and less likely to accentuate your silhouette. The balance with the slightly longer sleeves completes a structured silhouette that sets a new standard.
